About Me
Stephanie Thompson, a Cape Cod native, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Norwich University (the private military college of Vermont). She served four years active duty in the U.S. Navy, including a deployment to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. As a civilian, Stephanie made it her mission to run a marathon in every U.S. state and on all seven continents. She successfully completed these goals in 2016 and 2019, respectively. In addition, she qualified for the 2014 Boston Marathon and finished an iron-distance triathlon (2.4 mi swim, 112-mi bike, 26.2 mi run) that same year. In 2021, Stephanie completed a 100K trail race in San Francisco.
Stephanie earned her Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Level II running coaching certification, as well as her World Instructor Training Schools (WITS) Level II personal training certification. She started her wellness business, Warrior Runners, in 2016, and since then has coached, trained, and mentored dozens of individuals of all ages and athletic backgrounds. Stephanie was recognized for her achievements during her alma mater's Bicentennial celebration in 2019, featured in "The Year of Distinction" video.
Over the years, Ms.Thompson has fundraised for Special Olympics Massachusetts and volunteer coached for WellStrong (a substance abuse recovery program). She held a charity fundraiser 5K in her hometown, where all of the proceeds went to Sandwich Food Pantry and First Church Sandwich (soup kitchen).
Stephanie Thompson remains active in local veteran organizations, and she was honored to be a part of the annual Home Base "Helping Veterans Heal" telethon event in 2020. Now, Lieutenant Thompson is advocating for female vets by fundraising for Final Salute, Inc. during the Ms. Veteran America (MVA) competition. All proceeds raised go directly to Final Salute, Inc.
